Sports and dog training shows; a football penalty shoot-out, face painting and children’s races; a bouncy castle and a crafts area. These will be just a few of the attractions at this year’s Family Fun Day being organised by St. John’s Church and Flixton Fellowship as part of Flixton Folk Festival Week (July 13-21).

Apart from the fun activities, Radio Wishing Well from Trafford General Hospital will be putting on a show with musical favourites for all generations.

Kate Green MP will officially launch the event which will run between 2-4.30pm on Saturday, July 13, at St. John’s Church, Irlam Road, Flixton. Children under 13 must

be accompanied by an adult. Refreshments and entry to the event will be free of charge.

Said Rev. Rodney Green from St. John’s: “We have so much to offer this year and the community is really coming together to make this Fun Day a good experience. There will be something for everyone, whether you want to run in the egg and spoon race, enjoy all the other activities, have a talk with someone or just watch other people taking part in the fun and games.” - Ends -
